McMurtrie, Douglas Crawford. The Beginnings of Printing in Virginia. Lexington, Virginia: [Washington and Lee University], 1935. 48 pages, facsimiles. Octavo. 24 cm.

First edition. Original printed wrappers have some minor chips and the lower corner of the front wrap is detached but still present.

The pamphlet is in a deluxe binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, London: three-quarter blue cloth with darker blue polished leather spine with red panel; title hand stamped in gilt upon the red. Bookplate of C. R. Sanders, Jr. Covers are slightly speckled and fore-edges are worn.

A good copy. Still looks great shelved. McMURTRIE IMPRINTS, 271: "500 copies printed, of which 300 for distribution to members of the fourteenth annual Conference on Printing Education, 1935."
