"First Issue" stated on title page. Original stiff pictorial wrappers. with "Price 35c" printed in red. Scarce in such nice condition. This is a quality production full of maps, period photographs, and historical nuggets of information.

There are historical sketches of each city, county and section of Virginia, plus a list of highway marker inscriptions, advertisements, strip maps and illustrations. A double page map of the 1930 State Highway System appears on pages 120-21.

The smaller inset maps and some advertisements are found amongst the many period photographs that appear on almost every page. The text of all the markers is given in full.
