Folio. First edition. As issued separately in a severely limited printing for official purposes. Printed on blue paper. Original printed wrappers. A near fine copy. The Ioway Indians were originally from Iowa, Missouri, and Minnesota, but now reside in Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Kansas. This treaty provides for the cession of the 400 section tract on the Great Nemaha. Proceeds of sale are to be paid over to the Indians. The treaty further provides for the investment of the surplus sales and appropriation of the income. Private debts were not to be paid out of the general fund. There are also provisions against the use of ardent spirits. Proclaimed by Franklin Pierce. Quite scarce.

Folio. First edition. As issued separately in a severely limited printing for official purposes. Original printed wrappers. A near fine copy printed on blue paper. This treaty was concluded at Nebraska City, Territory of Nebraska by George Hepner on December 9, 1854. It provides for the cession of lands west of the Missouri and a supplement to the treaty of March 15, 1854. Proclaimed by Franklin Pierce. Quite scarce. RADER 3451.
